February was a good month on the pitch with no defeats. Beating Oldham 2-1 away, Barnsley 2-1 at home, and Port Vale 1-0 at home, and getting draws against Torquay away (2-2) and a 1-1 draw at Doncaster.
Month wasn't as good starting the month with a 3-0 defeat at home to Bournemouth, then getting beat 3-1 away to top of the table Luton Town. Swindon scored 3 late goals to beat Wrexham 4-2 at home, with Sam Parkin getting a hattrick after a 90th minute penalty. Swindon finished the month with a 1-1 draw away to Milton keynes. Swindon should have won this game with Grant Smith having a 90th minute penalty saved.
The rest of the season was very mixed for Swindon with any play off hopes fading away very quickly. April started badly getting beaten 3-0 away to Hartlepool, then 2-1 at home to Walsall. Swindon hadn't had a 0-0 draw for 18 months before having two in a row at home to Bristol City in a rearranged game, then on their first trip to Hull KC Stadium. The draw was enough for Hull to confirm their promotion to the Championship and was watched by over 23,000. Swindon went on the beat Tranmere 2-1 at home, then get thrashed 4-0 away to Huddersfield in their worse defeat of the season, before finishing the season mid table in 12th after a 1-1 home draw over Chesterfield.
Off the pitch Andy King was been expected to be sacked, but this didn't happen, instead assistant manger Mike Walsh left the club, and Alan Reeves took over as assistant manager. Mick Hayford then joined Swindon as assistant manager, but his stay didn't last long as it took over the managers job at Rotherham before the end of the season.
Lee Holmes had his loan spell extended for a third and final month. Michael Proctor joined on a month's loan from Rotherham, as Christian Roberts was still out injured. His wages were paid for by TrustSTFC. Rory Fallon then went out for loan for a month to Yeovil, and Andy Nicholas went out on loan to Chester City.
Andy King was awarded the Manager of the Month award for February as Swindon went unbeaten that month.
After three months out Christian Roberts returned from injury in March, but was unable to score in any of the remaining games.
Steve Robinson, Matt Hewlett and goal keeper Steve Book were all released by swindon during April, and Sam Parkin was being linked with a few clubs, but still no offers have been accepted for him. Parkin also played for Scotland during April in a game against Austria, but was injured early on, and then had to miss two games for Swindon.
After a few years without one Swindon finally got themselves a new working score board which was paid for by the Supporters club.
