King was first promoted to manager of Swindon in November 2000, then he was sacked in August 2001 just before the season was able to start, when Roy Evans took over, then in December 2001 Roy Evans quit Swindon due to the lack of money, and Andy King was re-appointed.

It was also a year ago today when Neil Ruddock played his last ever game for Swindon, getting sent off away at Notts County.
