The versatile defender has been in impressive form in the left wing-back role as Town have risen to eleventh in the Nationwide Second Division. Town’s results in January have seen them defeat Stockport 5-2, Chesterfield 3-0 as well as table toppers Wigan. There were also draws against Blackpool and Cardiff and Duke has been as reliable as ever during this period.

Duke faced stiff competition from Stefani Miglioranzi, Danny Invincibile and Alan Reeves, but members of the STFC Executive Club decided on Duke as the man to take the award.

The Haine and Smith Player of the Month award has been kindly donated by Barry Smith, whose son Rupert tragically died in 2001. Rupert was a keen supporter of the club and attended as many games as possible.
