Evans had been given the choice by Andy King of playing for Swindon against Brighton, or playing for the England Under 21's, but if he picked England then he wouldn't be given his place back in the Swindon starting team.
Evans made his first league start for Swindon in Saturday's 2-2 home draw with Blackpool.
