Wycombe had just sacked their manager Lawrie Sanchez who also played for Swindon during Gorman's time as manager.
Gorman had been working with Glen Hoddle at Spurs, a connection between the two going back to the time both were at Swindon well over ten years ago.
Meanwhile another ex Swindon player of the same era, goal keeper Nicky Hammond (now known as Nick) has become Reading's director of football, and is helping Reading look for a new manager after their manager left to take over at West Ham.
