Gurney left Swindon after his first spell at the club in August 2004 to join Swansea City in an unexpected move, maybe after a falling out with then manager Andy King, only to return to the County Ground a year later.
Aaron Brown, and Paul Smith have also signed for Swindon in the past week, and Lee Peacock has also been linked with a move as well.
