Heywood Joins City

Heywood has now joined local rivals Bristol City in a free transfer under the Bosman ruling, joining Grant Smith who also signed for Bristol city during the week.

Heywood will sign a three year deal with Bristol City on July 1st, the same day as Grant Smith will also become a Bristol City player.

Heywood, now 25, had been at Swindon for the past four seasons since his move to the County Ground from Burnley. He played mostly in defence but in his early years at Swindon did player as a striker a couple of times.
