Igoe broke his scaphoid bone in his wrist after falling down his stairs at home when playing with his children.
Igoe was first told he would be out for 6-8 weeks, and at the time declared he would be back in 6 weeks.
He decided to take matters into his own hands and removed the plaster on his wrist himself before it had healed fully. He has now had to have a new plaster fitted which will be his recover time back by another three weeks.
Club physio Dick Mackey said: "You can understand his impatience with the wrist, but he has to realise that there is a long term target for injuries of this type.
It just needs the appropriate time to heal and with a new plaster we hope he will be back in action in approximately three weeks."
