Speaking to Town's Official web site he said: “At the moment, I’m just getting used to my new surroundings and meeting my new colleagues behind the scenes at the Club.
“I’m looking forward to playing my part in turning around the fortunes of this club and with the first home pre-season friendly against Wimbledon some five weeks away, there is certainly plenty for me to be getting on with.
“I need to educate myself extremely quickly on all things ‘STFC’ and as part of that I am also eager to meet the various supporters’ clubs and listen to their views and experiences.
“I can already see that the stadium is coming along very nicely and a lot of the commercial activity is well under way, so I’ll be getting straight into it with the focus on everything being ready for the visit of Wimbledon on July 27th."
