Mark Devlin said on the official site: "We are always very cautious but we were confident in the Rocastle deal. The player was aware of interest from other clubs but had told Iffy he wanted to join Swindon in favour of others. We are very disappointed to say the least.
"Timing is a key factor now because it does not give Iffy a huge amount of time to bring the right caliber of player who could make a difference to what we already have."
