Parkin Set To Leave

Parkin joined Swindon in the summer of 2002, and scored three goals in his first game against Barnsley and has since gone on to score over 70 goals for Swindon including 23 so far this season

He still has a year left to run on his contract, so it's better for him to leave now, and Swindon to get £500,000 for him than for him to leave on a free transfer next summer.

Andy King said: He will probably end up moving in the summer and that will be a nightmare for this club - I cannot replace his goals.

"He has another year but there are parts in his contract that allow him to speak to people and the monetary terms in his deal mean the bids will come in.

"I know we've had a bid this week. He's 24 and feels he needs to move his career on,"
