Swindon went 3-0 up half way through the second half before Leicester pulled 3 goals back to make it 3-3. With 5 minutes to go Steve White went down in the box. Paul Bodin took the penalty and scored. Swindon won 4-3 to gain promotion to the Premiership.
A week later Glen Hoddle quit to club to move to Chelsea.
