Robinson was released by Swindon at the end of last season after playing 142 games for the club since his move from Birmingham City in February 2001 for £50,000.

He will be best remembered for scoring twice against Oxford in March 2001 in Swindon's 2-0 win at the Manor Ground, which was the season that Oxford were relegated to Division 3.
