Swindon V Preston at County Ground - Match Preview

No Storey for Swindon

Swindon's temporary managers Darren Ward and Tommy Miller are likely to be without Miles Storey for the clash with Preston.

The experienced duo, handed the reins following the departure of manager Paolo Di Canio, could both start at The County Ground as the Robins look to stay at the top of npower League One.

But Storey picked up a hamstring injury in the first half of the 3-1 win at Tranmere on Tuesday night.

Andy Williams replaced the youngster at Prenton Park and the former Yeovil man could get the nod from the start against North End.

Left-back Joe Devera is edging closer to a first-team return but former Tottenham defender Troy Archibald-Henville will miss out once more.

John Mousinho is pushing for a first-team return when Simon Grayson takes charge of Preston for the first time.

Mousinho has endured an injury-ravaged first season at Deepdale and last played in January's 1-0 FA Cup third-round defeat against Millwall.

But the former Stevenage midfielder now has a week's full-training under his belt following a hamstring problem.

Stuart Beavon is expected to continue in attack after returning from injury to score during last weekend's 2-0 win over Bournemouth - North End's first victory for six league games.

Joel Byrom is facing an absence of between four to six weeks after undergoing hernia surgery and the midfielder joins defender Scott Laird (broken leg) among the long-term absentees.
