Robins have doubts over duo
Swindon boss Mark Cooper will check on defenders Nathan Byrne and Nathan Thompson ahead of the visit of Tranmere.
The duo were taken off in the first half of last weekend's defeat to Preston and they are rated as doubtful for the match against Rovers on Saturday.
Ryan Harley (knee) remains sidelined along with Ryan Mason who is still recovering from a thigh injury.
Cooper will run the rule over Nile Ranger, who was expected to be out for a further two weeks with a groin problem but is making good progress in his recovery.
Jim McNulty is in line for his Tranmere debut as they seek redemption at the County Ground.
The on-loan Barnsley defender, who can play either at centre-half or at left-back, signed a one-month deal on Thursday after boss Ronnie Moore moved to bolster his options once Adam Dugdale was recalled by Crewe.
Another loanee, Liam Ridehalgh, was sent off on his debut last weekend but had the subsequent one-match suspension overturned in midweek and fellow left-back Danny Holmes may also make the squad despite suffering from illness.
Ex-Wales international Jason Koumas and Evan Horwood (both groin) are out again, as are captain James Wallace (knee), Jake Kirby (ankle) and Andy Robinson (knee), with Moore's side looking to avenge last year's 5-0 hammering in Wiltshire.
