There may be troubles ahead

TrustSTFC Chairman Tony Norris stated, "We are fully aware of the financial position the club are in, but it looks like the current pricing may cause even more problems than first thought. We have heard from a number of 2nd Division supporters groups and they are very angry at the prices they are going to be charged."

"The noises coming from Barnsley supporters are that not only are they going to be protesting, but even more worrying they will also be trying to gain access into the Town End. Having witnessed away supporters in home fans sections before, I am well aware of the problems it can cause, especially as the Town End usually has the most vociferous home support." Added Norris.

Norris continued, "There is a simple remedy, the club should consider opening the Stratton Bank to away supporters for all games, thus allowing them to charge less for the away support. This may also encourage more away supporters to make the trip, the more people, the more revenue. With the club predicting losses of £450,000 this season every paying supporter is needed. Of course there is still the matter of the disaffected home supporters who cannot afford £21 themselves. We have on a number of occasions requested that the club have a cheaper ticket if it is bought before match days, we would suggest a figure of £17."
