Tranmere had most of the play for the first half with the ball spending nearly all it's time in the Swindon half.

Luckily for Swindon Tranmere's shooting for about as good as Eric Sabin, so although their piled on all the pressure their rarely had a shot on target thoughout the whole game.

Swindon's chances first started with about 5 minutes of the first half left with Heywood going wide, and Parkin scoring but his goal was ruled out for offside.

Griemink also had to produce a late first half save to keep Swindon in the game psuhing the ball onto the bar and then over.

5 minutes into the second half Swindon were given a free kick just from outside the box which Andy Gurney took, and scored to give Swindon the lead.

Tranmere kept up the pressure all game, and had very few further chances to get a goal back.

Swindon did have chances to add to the score which on loan sub Ifil making a good run down the pitch but his shot couldn't beat the keeper which the ball been cleared away just has it was rolling towards to line.

Thanks to some poor clearances by the Tranmere keeper Swindon could have added to the score, but Sabin and Parkin both missed open goals when they found the keeper out of position.

Overall a good win for Swindon, although Tranmere were a bit unlucky not the have scored at least one as they did have a lot more of the play than Swindon.

Swindon's next game is at home next saturday against Wycombe who we beat 3-2 in October thanks to a late goal by Sam Parkin.
