"This club really is 'Up a creek, without a paddle' The Trust aim to provide a paddle so we can steer this club to safety." Stated TrustSTFC Chairman Tony Norris.
"We have been watching from the sidelines and listening to what has been said by the club. Although we understand the position of the club we feel that we need a more active role in saving our club. We are no longer prepared to sit back and watch; we want to be involved in the action. The advantage of having the Trust is that we can call on the expertise of Supporters Direct, who has had principle roles in saving various football clubs. Although the board have been open with us, they are missing a trick, they have not asked for our participation in saving the club. Supporters have a great record of saving their clubs, we know that Swindon supporters can rise to the challenge", added Norris.
There are two things the Trust would ask of anyone who considers themselves a fan of the club. First, come to the game on Saturday and second bring all your spare cash. The Trust will be there to collect it!
