Andy King made only one change to the starting team with new loan signing from Manchester United Colin Heath playing instead of Nicky Summerbee.
The first chance of the game fell to Blackpool after 15 minutes when Vernon had his shot saved by Evans who could only get a hand to the ball, then ball was then cleared of the line by O'Hanlon but the Blackpool fans thought they had scored before Evans was able to make a second save.
Loan signing Colin Heath also came close for Swindon on 27 minutes having his header saved on the line. Jamie Crueton also came close for Swindon, but his shot went just wide.
Heath also took a David Beckham style free kick, but this went just wide.
In the second half Swindon were awarded another free kick about 25 yards out which this time was taken by Rory Fallon, however the ball was closer to the goal before Fallon had taken his shot than it was after as it nearly ended up in the sea landing at the back of the stand above the corner flag.
Both side had penalty appeals turned down within minutes of each other, and neither side looked like they would score in open play.
Overall a fairly average game, and a draw was a fair result with very few chances in front of goal by either side. Swindon now take a break from the league on Tuesday evening when they are at home to Wycombe in the first round of the Carling League Cup.
