Swindon started the game knowing that a win could take them well out of the relegation zone if other results went there way.
The first half was fairly uneventful with Swindon having a lot of the play but few chances in front of goal.
Rhys Evans had to make a good double save in the first half when Evans saved the first Bradford shot but the ball rebounded to ex Oxford striker Dean Windass who should have scored from 5 yards out but somehow Evans managed to save the header.
Swindon's international Ricky Shakes had to go off for treatment in the first half, and although he did come back on he never looked 100% fit, but he did stay on for the whole game.
In the second half it was much like the first half in being fairly uneventful, both sides played well and neither looked any better than the other.
Christian Roberts making his return for Swindon since being out for the past month came on for Jamie Cureton making it an Ex Bristol City strike force up front with Brown and Peacock.
The game looked to be heading for a 0-0 draw before with 11 minutes to go Bradford scored with a goal from Dean Windass against the run of play.
In the last few seconds of normal time Swindon won a corner thanks to Aaron Brown, and Rhys Evans ran up the the other goal for the corner. This confused the Bradford defenders as they didn't have enough players to make everyone, and Sean O'Hanlon was able to head in from close range to equaliser.
There was 4 minutes of injury time, but the game finished 1-1 which was a fair result with little between the two sides all game. The draw keeps Swindon in 21st place just in the relegation zone ahead of Tuesday's game against Gillingham.
