It was Brentford that started off looking the better side, with a number of early corners. They really should have taken the lead when on 8 minutes Deon Burton look the ball around the advancing Rhys Evans, and only had an empty net in front of him, but from 15 yards he somehow managed to miss, and put the ball wide.

Swindon then took an unexpected lead on 20 minutes when Grant Smith with a header, and injuring himself in the process. At first it wasn't clear if the goal had been given or not, but then the goal was given.
Brentford piled on more of the pressure coming close with another corner, then they finally equalised when ex Swindon loan player Deon Burton scored with a header on 44 minutes.
Sam Parkin then came close to putting Swindon back in the lead, but he ran out of time, so they score stayed at 1-1 going into the half time break.
Miglioranzi starting his first game since September crossed the ball in for Igoe, but he was unable to score, he also came close to scoring himself, but he it wide.
Brentford hit the bar twice, the second time was from a close range effort from Burton. It looked like Swindon might hold out for a draw as the luck seemed to be with them.
Swindon's luck ended on 81 minutes when Brentford took the lead when Hunt unmarked ws able to score from close range.
Andy King bought on Rory Fallon, and Jamie Slabber late on to play 3 up front, but it was too late as the game ended before the had time to have any real effect on the game.
Overall it was a fairly poor Swindon game, and Swindon never really deserved to go in front in the first place, so the Brentford win was a fair result. At the end of the game they were calls for King to go.
Swindon now face a break from the league as they take on Southend away in the semi finals of the LDV Vans Trophy on Tuesday night.
