Brentford's impressive start to the season continued with this 3-1 home victory against Swindon Town at Griffin Park.

The game got of to a lively start and on three minutes Stephen Hunt saw his left-foot strike flash just wide of the right-hand post and two minutes later Rowan Vine's 20-yard effort drifted wide of the left-hand post.

A minute later the Bees opened the scoring when a Michael Dobson cross from the right was chested down 12 yards out by Vine, he turned and smashed an unstoppable right-foot shot high into the roof of the net.

After 14 minutes the Bees extended their lead, following great work by Mark McCammon down the right flank he laid the ball off to Dobson and his cross was met by Vine 10 yards out and his looping header beat the keeper all ends up.

Three minutes later the visitors reduced the arrears when Jimmy Davis latched on to a throughball and fired a low right- foot effort beyond Paul Smith into the far corner of the net.

On 28 minutes Town's keeper Bart Griemink denied Vine a hat-trick when he blocked his effort in the box.

On 34 minutes Sam Parkin had a golden opportunity to equalise 10 yards out, but he directed his header wide of the target and a minute later Davis jinked has way through the Bees defence, but with only Smith to beat he dragged his right-foot effort past the left-hand post.

After the break neither side produced any real clear cut chances until the 77th minute when McCammon nicked the ball off a defender, shrugged off another defender in the box and calmly slotted the ball passed the advancing keeper to score his first goal of the season and the Bees third goal of the match to wrap up the three points.

In the final 10 minutes sub Danny Invincibile was clear in the box and Ibrahim Sonko's great saving tackle denied him an opportunity and deep into injury time Andy Gurney had a great chance to pull a goal back but his effort was deflected for a corner
