Swindon made a good start to the game, against a poor Bristol City side. Both Matt Richie and Leon Clarke wasted early chances for Swindon.
Swindon still looked to be the better side in the second half, and it looked to be only a matter of time before they took the lead.
The goal finally happened on 71 minutes when new signing Raffaele de Vita headed Swindon into the lead with a close range header.
Bristol City did go close a few times late on, but Phil Smith was able to save a few shots, and City also put a few late chances wide.
Overall it was a well deserved win for Swindon who looked the better side throughout nearly all time game.
