Swindon started with the same team which thrashed Port Vale last weekend.
Swindon came close early on, but it was the home side which had more of the chances with them missing two or three clear cut goals in both halves including one shot which hit the bar and then went over.
Swindon took the lead in the second half on 76 minutes after a corner which found the head of Simon Cox who scored from close range to give Swindon the 1-0 lead.
Overall an average game, but Swindon were lucky in, but they took their chances well and game away with all 3 points from the derby game ahead of Saturday's trip to Gillingham.
