About 2,000 Swindon fans made the short trip down to M4 to Bristol to see this local derby with Swindon needing to get a least a point to get promoted.
How ever after 27 minutes Swindon fell behind thanks to a 30 yard shot which beat Phil Smith by Lambert to make it 1-0 to Bristol Rovers.
Swindon came close to getting an equaliser with Jerel Ifil going close, but Swindon ended up going into the half time break losing 1-0.
Blair Sturrock came close for Swindon at the start of the second half, and Christian Roberts also came close, but lost the ball just in front of goal.
News filted through that Wycombe were winning, and Tommy Mooney had scored, so Swindon would get promoted even if they lost, but this turned out to be a hoax as it was still 0-0 at the time, and it ended with Milton Keynes winning 2-0.
