Swindon had a few chances, but Cardiff had more of the play during the first half.
Swindon started the second half as the better team, and looked liked getting at least a point out of the game, but half way through the second half Bowen scored from inside the area for Cardiff.
Cardiff's Bowen then scored again 10 minutes from the end to make sure of getting the double of Swindon.
After the game King Said: We had to be cautious, I couldn’t come here and play three up front, we had to give Cardiff a little respect. We had to approach the game with caution - a draw would have been a very good result for us.”
“I was annoyed that we didn’t start well and never really got ourselves into the game. It’s something that we’re getting used to; if we don’t start well, we have problems getting into the match at all.
“It was always going to be difficult against Cardiff at Ninian Park and once they had scored, it was going to be very hard to get back on level terms. I don’t think Cardiff were on top form and we should have capitalised on that. Unfortunately, we were a yard shorter than them so it shows how much we under performed. We folded after the first goal went in and I can’t accept that. ”
"We lacked the kind of drive and commitment that was evident in our recent good run. The Huddersfield match wasn’t a bad performance and if we had scored first I think we would have won the game. Today was a bad performance and we were missing those magic words such as desire, drive and commitment.”
