Cheltenham 2 Swindon 0

1700 Swindon fans made the short trip to Gloucestershire, (Or Cheltenhamshire as the Cheltenham fans seem to call it) but were left wondering why.

Chants of "What a load of rubbish", "Sort it out", "King Out", "It's just like watching Penhill" could be heard for most of the game.

I can't think of any player who had a good game. Sabin made a couple of good runs, but couldn't finish.

Swindon rarely went close to scoring all game, Cheltenham were not much better, but at least were able to find the back of the net.

Cheltenham's first goal came on the half hour when McAuley scored from a free kick, although the ball did glance of Matt Hewlett on its way into the back of the net.

Swindon then went down to 10 men after Sam Parkin was sent off. Parkin and the Cheltenham keeper were on the floor the ref then ran over and slid into them, this proved it was slippery but didn't stop the ref getting out his red card.

Swindon did have a few more cahnces in the second half, but things went from bad to worst shortly afterwards as Cheltenham went 2-0 up.

With 10 minutes to go the floodlights dimmed, but stayed on. I think at this stage many Town fans would have liked them to have gone off completly.

Andy Gurney then swore at the the Swindon fans, which should see him Banned, Swindon fans could quite rightly also be heard singing "You're not fit to wear the shirt" as most of the players didn't seem to care that they were losing to a team that 10 years ago was about 6 divisions lower than Swindon.

Swindon's next game is at home on Saturday against Northampton Town.
