After Swindon's recent defeats at bottom clubs Northampton, Cheltenham, Mansfield and Huddersfield, Swindon went out and beat 2nd place Crewe.
The first half saw half chances for both sides, but neither looked like scoring.
Crewe's best chance came on 36 minutes when Alan Reeves gave away a penalty. Luck was with Swindon as Crewe hit the post from the kick, and Swindon were able to clear the ball away.
Most of the second half was the same as the first half with both sides having plenty of chances, but failing to shoot on target.
Swindon found themselves 1-0 up after 75 minutes when Miglioranzi's 25 yard shot looked to have been saved by the Crewe keeper only for the ball the slip through his hands into the goal to give Swindon the unexpected lead.
Overall a good result for Swindon who for once had a bit of luck on their side. The win now means that Swindon can't go down as we are now up to 54 points in 12th. Swindon's next game is at home to Plymouth on Wednesday night. In December the game between the two sides ended 1-1.
