Billy Paynter and Simon Cox both started their first games for Swindon, and Hartlepool had Andy Monkhouse playing against his old club.

Early in the game Aljofree was taken off on a strecher, and was replaced by Chris Blackburn.

McGovern scored for Swindon after 31 minutes chipping the 'keeper from just inside the box with the ball just dippin below the bar to give Swindon a 1-0 lead

Phil Smith had to make some good saves in the Swindon goal to make sure Swindon went into the half time break still winning 1-0.

Joel Porter equalised for Hartlepool with a close range goal after 69 minutes to make it 1-1.

Swindon came close to getting a winner with Zaaboub missing when he used to score, and Swindon ran out of time so the game ended 1-1. Overall it was an average game with a 1-1 draw being a far result. Next week Swindon are at home Bournemouth.
