Nearly 2,000 Swindon fans made the trip to West Yorkshire, and with nearly 28,000 in the ground it's likely to be the biggest gate of the season.
Swindon started well, although Peter Brezovan was called into action early on making a good save to keep the score sheet clean.
On 31 minutes Leeds were awarded a penalty when Aljofree handled the ball in the box. Beckford took the kick and his shot just went in off the bar with Brezovan coming close to making a save.
Swindon made a great start to the first half with Cox crossing the ball in for Lee Peacock to score from close range on 47 minutes making it 1-1.
On 55 minutes Leeds were back in the lead after Beckford found himself clear and beat Brezovan to make it 2-1 to the home side.
Swindon thought they had scored again with 7 minutes left to play with Cox finding the back of the net, but the linesman ruled the goal wasn't going to count.
The 4th official was late was the board for 4 minutes remaining, and after he displayed it only a minute and a half was played before the referee blew up for full time.
Overall a good game and Swindon were very unlucky not to come away with a least a point. Leeds played well, but for most of the game Swindon were able to match them. Swindon's next game is the local derby at home to Bristol Rovers next Saturday.
