Peter Brezovan made a return in goal for Swindon after having a break for the past few weeks.
Swindon took the lead on 20 minutes after a cross from McNamee was turned into the net by Leyton Orient's Alton Thelwell for an own goal.
In the second half Leyton Orient came out looking the better side, and were awarded a penalty on 50 minutes after a foul by Comminges. Boyd took the kick and scored even though Brezovan dived the correct way.
On 54 minutes Boyd gave the East London side the lead.
Towards the end Simon Cox should have equalised for Swindon, but with no one to beat and only 5 yards out he still managed to put the ball over the bar in a miss which was worse than Leeds 2 weeks ago.
Overall an average game where Swindon should have at least got a point out of. Swindon next game is at home to Carlisle United on Saturday.
