Sean O'Hanlon played for Milton Keynes, after he joined them back in the summer when he turned down a new deal with Swindon.
Swindon took the lead against the run of play on 31 minutes after winning a corner which was taken by Michael Timlin, and Lee Peacock was on hand to bundle the ball in from close range.
Then on 33 minutes Milton Keynes were awarded a penalty after a Lee Peacock foul in the box. However the penalty was saved by Phil Smith who dived to his right and Swindon stayed in front going into the half time break leading 1-0.
Milton Keynes gave close to scoring a number of times with Ady Williams having the clear the ball off the line, and Phil Smith making a number of good saves to keep Swindon in front.
Swindon held on to win. Overall it was a good game which Swindon were slightly lucky to have won, but the win keeps them in 4th place. They now have a break from the league as they travel to South London on Saturday to play Crystal Palace in the FA Cup.
