1,264 Swindon fans made the trip up to the East Midlands hoping to avoid a repeat of two years ago when Swindon lost 7-1.
Swindon started well, and had plenty of the ball, but were restricted to only having long distance shots. It was Peter Brezovan who was the busiest of the two 'keepers.
On 50 minutes Nathan Tyson gave Forest the lead with a close range goal after he was left unmarked.
Forest had more chances to increase their lead missin two or three easy chances but putting them just wide instead.
In the final minutes Swindon had a late corner, but it came to nothing.
Overall a good game and a fair result as Swindon's were limited in their chances. Nottingham Forest were the better side, but there wasn't much of a gap between the two sides.
