Last updated : 11 December 2005 By Tim
After a good start Swindon took the lead after only 11 minutes with a close range header from Sean O'Hanlon after a Michael Pook corner.

Swindon did well for the rest of the first half, but Oldham also had chances with Rhys Evans forced to make anumber of good saves to keep Swindon in the lead.

The referee had given Oldham quite a few free kicks for very minor things during the first half, before finally giving Swindon a free kick just outside the box, but they missed this chance to score, and went into the half time break leading 1-0.

Swindon started the second half very well, and nearly went 2-0 up thanks to a McDermott shot which hit the bar, then seconds later Fallon was fouled in the box, and Swindon given a 47 minute penalty.

Fallon took the penalty, but it was saved, Bouazza also had his rebound shot saved, before McDermott scored on the second rebound, with an Oldham defender helping the ball into the back of the net to give Swindon a 2-0 away lead for the first tem in nearly a year. (Bradford 3 Jan)

On 56 minutes Richie Wellens gave Oldham some hope with a goal after an Oldham free kick which they took quickly.

Then on 71 minutes Oldham hit the bar, and the ball rebounded out and fell to Andy Liddell who headed in past Rhys Evans to make it 2-2.

Swindon had a late chance to get a winner, with a number of late corners, but they ran out of time, and the game finished 2-2 which moves Swindon back onto the bottom of the table, as Bristol City beat Huddersfield 2-0 to swap places with them.

Overall a draw was a fair result, as both sides had plenty of chances to score, and it seemed that both sides had an equal share of the ball, although Swindon did have the chance to win the game if they had taken their late chances better.
