Jerel Ifil returned to the starting line up after sitting out his three match suspension. New loan signing Lee Holmes from Derby County also played the whole game.

Swindon had a few early chnaces in the first 20 minutes to score with Holmes, and Roberts both coming fairly close.

The first half was generally fairly uneventful, and both sides went back into the dressing room with the score still at 0-0.

Swindon started the second half well, and scored their opening goal after 53 minutes in front of the travelling Swindon fans, and a group of Cambridge United fans who has stopped off at Peterborough as their own game against Mansfield had been called off, so they all become Swindon fans for the day. Igoe's shoot was from 10 yards out, and just crept inside the post past the diving Peterborough goal keeper.

Peterborough had a lot of pressure and really should have scored, but some good saves by Rhys Evans, and the bar kept them out.

Swindon also hit the bar when a cross from Steve Jenkins hit the bar, but it struck the top of the bar, so it never looked as if it would go in.

On 85 minutes Swindon made sure of taking all 3 points as Sam Parkin controlled the bar, before shooting from 5 yards out, and scoring make to the delight of the Swindon and Cambridge fans, who also seemed to enjoy their day out, and also started some of their own Swindon songs like "Red & White trim army."

Overall not the best of games, but an important win for Swindon which moves them back into the top half of the table. It's was down to some good saves by Evans that Peterborough didn't score, as they did come close a few times.

Swindon are back in action on Tuesday at 3pm when they are at home to Brentford.
