After a couple of early chances Swindon finally took the lead on 23 minutes with a close range header from Sean Morrison.

Then on 41 minutes Charlie Austin doubled Swindon's lead with a header following a free kick from Rose.

Plymouth were then reduced to ten men when they had Dean Parrett sent off for a two footed tackle on David Prutton.

Swindon made full advantage of having the extra man in the second half, as they were at times able to swing over 20 passes together without Plymouth even touching the ball.

On 52 minutes Vincent Pericard made it 3-0 with a close range tap in after a cross from Richie.

Then on 69 minutes Matt Richie was able to seal the win for Swindon with a header to make it 4-0, which was enough to make a large number of home supports give up and go home early.
