Swindon started the better side with Bart Griemink hardly having to touch the ball during the first half, but Swindon couldn't turn their chances into goals.

Swindon's closest chance came on 19th minutes when Danny Invincibile's shot hit the post, and Sam Parkin on the rebound hit it wide.

Ifil making his first start for Swindon since joining on a month loan from Watford had a good game and close to scoring. He also made some good runs down the right hand side.

Swindon went into the braek with the score still 0-0, but Port Vale scored after only 15 seconds into the second half with a Ian Armstrong beating Bart Griemink from the edge of the box to give Vale the lead.

Swindon were soon back in the game and scored on 54 minutes when Sam Parkin could his 19th goal of the season after going without scoring for the past few games. Reeves found Parkin who headed in from close range from only 5 yards out.

Both sides then had chances to win it, but were unable to beat each other defences so the score stayed at 1-1.

Overall the draw was a fair result which now moves Swindon back up a place to 11th. Next Saturday QPR visit the County Ground after they look for a play off place.
