Southend 2 Swindon 1

Swindon had been unbeaten away since August, but this has now ended after losing 2-1 at Southend.

Swindon started well, but fell behind after only 11 minutes after a cross from Betsy was headed in by Revell.

Swindon came close later and looked to have scored, but I think it hit the post and no goal was given.

In the second half Billy Paynter made it 1-1 with a goal against his former club on the hour mark.

On 71 minutes Laurent made it 2-1 for the home side.

Swindon pushed forward for an equaliser and came close a few times, but ran out of time. Overall Swindon were unlucky not to get at least a point from the game. Swindon's next game is at home to Northampton on Tuesday night.
