Rory Fallon started the game in place of Christian Roberts who had to sit the game out due to a clause in his contract. Hewlett and Duke were also dropped with Ifil and Howard replacing them.
The game started brightly with Swindon coming very close to taking an early lead. Both Parkin and Fallon came very close within the first five minutes, but Parkin had his header saved.
After more wasted Swindon chances Swidon were given a free kick 30 yards out which Grant Smith took, but it was slowed down by the wall, and Jenkins was unable to get any power on a follow up header.
On 25 minutes a Swindon corner taken by Smith fell to Sam Parkin whos header hit the bar, and then Jenkins came close with the rebound, but Bristol City were able to clear the ball away.
Bristol City had very few chances throughout the game, and it was always Swindon who looked like scoring with a 30 yard strike from Rory Fallon on 34 minutes hitting the post after beating the City 'keeper.
Fallon and Igoe also came close for Swindon before half time, but Swindon although they were having plenty of chances they always seem to hit the ball just over or wide of the goal.
In the second half Evans was forced to make a couple more good saves to keep the score level at 0-0, and Fallon once again came close to scoring after having a good game in his first start for a while.
Both Parkin and Fallon missed more good chances as the game came to an end in a game that Swindon could have won 5-0 if they had scored from all their very near misses.
Overall it was one of the best 0-0 games I've seen, and it was Swindon first 0-0 for 18 months. This now leaves Swindon were no chance of making it into the play off's ahead of this Saturday's trip to second place Hull City.
