Swindon had plenty of chances with Andy Gurney coming close on more than once with his free kicks ofetn just going wide.

Both sides hit the bar, and had plenty of other chances but it was a close range goal from Fortune-West on 28 minutes that was the only goal in the game.

Swindon and Cardiff had more than one penalty decision turned down, and Swindon were also awarded an indirect free kick inside the box, where Gurney once again came close to scoring.

Sam Parkin who had picked up an injury before the game only started on the bench, but came on for Steve Robinson mid way through the second half.

This leaves Swindon 5th in the tabel on 7 points, they now travel to face 2nd place Brentford on Monday.
