Swindon 0 Hartlepool 1
The first half was fairly eventful, but the best chance of the half was by Swindon. Zaaboub had his shot saved, but the ball then came out for Andy Nicholas who took a 25 yard shot only to see hit the post.
Swindon then fell behind on 49 minutes after a Hartlepool corner found ex Town player Andy Monkhouse, who scored with a close range header to make it 1-0 to his new club.
Christian Roberts should have scored when he had a one on one with the Hartlepool 'keeper but their 'keeper managed to save the shot when he should have been easier to Roberts to have scored.
Overall a fairly poor game with Swindon have plenty of the ball, but not creating enough chances in front of goal, and Hartlepool took their one good chance well and scored. Apart from their goal Phil Smith seemed to have a quiet afternoon in the Swindon goal. Swindon now travel north on Saturday to take on Rochdale.
