7,685 packed into the County Ground for this 2nd V 3rd game, with Lincoln just bringing enough fans for the Stratton Bank to be opened.
The game started with neither sides having very many early chances until Fola Onibuje should have scored for Swindon on 27 minutes. Brown crossed the bal in, and all Onibuje had to do was the touch the ball and he would have scored, but he missed.
Onibuje went close for Swindon again a couple more times, but both sides went into the half time break with the score still being level at 0-0.
Lincoln has had many chances before they scored on 63 minutes when Jamie Forrester only had Phil Smith to beat, which he did to make it 1-0 to Lincoln.
Swindon nearly equalised straight from the kick off, and the ball looked as if it was going in only for Lincoln to clear the ball off the goal line.
Swindon bought on Brownlie, and Rhodes replacing Brown and Shakes, but it was too little too late as Swindon ran out of time.
Overall a fairly average game where Swindon did have plenty of chances to win it, but Lincoln took their chance well and took all 3 points meaning Swindon drop at place to 4th as Lincoln now go top. Swindon's next game is also at home with the localish derby against Hereford next Saturday.
