Swindon started fairly slowly, and it was Southend who took the lead after 18 minutes with a deflected shot from Simon Francis. Brezovan didn't move as he expacted the ball to go over, but it dipped into the back of the net to give Southend the lead.
Barry Corr had to go off injured after 43 minutes. He may now be out for 6 months as they had already said he might need surgery if his shoulder injury has returned. He was replaced by Bill Paynter.
Lee Peacock came on at half time to replace Michael Timlin.
The second half saw Swindon have a lot more chances will the ball rolling across the goal, but no one been able to get on the end of it. In the last few minutes of the game Swindon have 2 or 3 chances to at least get an equaliser, but again came away with nothing.
Overall another poor game, but Swindon were unlucky not to get at least a goal from this game. The defeat moves Swindon down to 15th ahead of Friday's trip to Tranmere Rovers.
