It was the biggest attendance of the season with just under 9,000 packing into the County Ground helped by having 3,000 Swansea fans who filled the Stratton Bank for the first time in a while.

Both sides had plenty of the ball, but had restricted chances in front of goal with neither side looking like scoring in the first half.

The linesman went off injured mid way through the first half having to be replaced by the 4th official, then Jack Smith had to go off injured and is was replaced by Steve Jenkins.

In the first half Swindon's best chance was when Holgate sent in a good cross, but no one was able to put the ball in the back of the net.

In the second half both sides continued as in the first half with equal amounts of the ball, but few goal scoring chances, although Swansea did come close to scoring a few times once hitting the bar, and Rhys Evans being forced to make a number of good saves including just being able to tip the ball over the bar when it looked like Swansea were about to score. Evans should have been man of the match as it was thanks to him that Swindon kept their 3rd home clean sheet in a row.

At the other end Swindon also came close to scoring a few times with Charlie Comyn-Platt and Bouazza both missing shots that seemed easier to score than miss. Swindon came very close in the final minutes to getting a winner, but unlike Colchester on Monday they couldn't manage it against Swansea.

Overall a good game and a draw was a fair result. A scoring draw would have been a better reflection of the game as although fairly limited both sides did have good chances to score. The draw means Swindon go unbeaten during December and moves them off the bottom of the table going into Monday's long distance away trip to Hartlepool.
