Swindon 1-2 Bournemouth- Match Report

Bournemouth captain Jason Pearce scored a stunning overhead kick late on to give his side only their second away league victory of the season in a 2-1 success at Swindon.

The Cherries took the lead after 11 minutes when Charlie Austin handled in the area following a long throw from Liam Feeney.

Marc Pugh stepped up and saw his penalty pushed onto the post by Robins keeper Phil Smith, but the ball squirmed back across goal for Pugh to tap in and score his ninth league goal of the season.

Swindon equalised soon after with a superb team goal. A quick throw on the right found Manchester City loanee David Ball, who got to the byline and pulled back a great low cross for Matt Ritchie to connect sweetly with a left-foot shot that flew into the top right-hand corner.

With 10 minutes to go another long throw caused confusion in the Swindon penalty box and it fell to Cherries skipper Pearce, who acrobatically swung his left foot from 12 yards out to score and give Eddie Howe's men all three points.
