Blackpool's former Swindon manager Steve McMahon returned to his old club to snatch a draw with an inspired double substitution.
Blackpool were trailing to a first-half goal and struggling to make an impact until McMahon emerged from his dugout to make the changes that altered the course of the match.
McMahon sent on Ben Thornley and Scott Taylor in place of Rick Wellens and Richard Walker and the moves paid instant dividends.
With his first touch in the 62nd minute Thornley centred from the left for Taylor to head in unmarked at the far post.
It was no more than Blackpool deserved for a spirited second-half display after Swindon had the better of the first.
Swindon went ahead in the 20th minute when Brazilian-born Stefani Miglioranzi cracked home his first league goal of the season with a blistering 25-yard right-foot shot.
As Blackpool faltered Danny Invincibile shot narrowly wide and Swindon were twice denied by flying saves from goalkeeper Phil Barnes.
He got across to his left in the 27th minute to push away a superbly struck shot which would have given leading scorer Sam Parkin his 19th goal of the season.
Barnes made a reflex save in the 34th minute to push away a fierce close-range shot from Steve Robinson after Parkin had created the gap.
But gradually Blackpool began to revive and Swindon's Dutch keeper Bart Griemink twice had to be alert to keep out shots from Walker.
Swindon striker Invincibile was booked for diving as he raced into the penalty area after crashing down under the challenge of Simon Grayson.
Swindon manager Andy King sent on Eric Sabin and Gareth Edds in a bid to emulate McMahon's success but Blackpool finished the stronger and looked more likely to snatch a winner.
