Sam Parkin opened the scoring for Swindon after only 8 minutes when he scored from a header following a new by new signing Sean O'Hanlon.

Brian Howard nearly scored a second goal with Swindon when his corner hit the bar without touching any other player, it rebounded back into play, but Swindon were unable to score.

on 33 minutes Barnsley were awarded a soft penalty after the referee judged that Miglioranzi had bought down Barnsley's David Murphy in the box. Nardiello took the penalty, and sent Rhys Evans the wrong way.

After half time King replaced Tommy Mooney with Rory Fallon who use to play for Barnsley. Mooney had looked like it might get himself sent off. He had already been booked for protesting about a free kick, and the referee had spoken to him about another incident.

Fallon came close to scoring, but couldn't quite get the ball into the back of the net, which his shots going just wide of the post.

After 60 minutes Sam Parkin should have scored, but his shot hit the bar, for the second time that afternoon.

Swindon had most of the pressure in the second half, but just couldn't score, although Barnsley did hit the post, and have a second penalty appear turned down.

Overall a draw was a fair result, although Swindon did have the chances to win the game. The draw moves Swindon up a place to 4th again, as most of the teams near the top of the table also lost or only drew.

Swindon play their game in hand on Tuesday night when they travel to play Port Vale in the rearranged game which was called off due to a frozen pitch when they tried to play it back in February.
