The Blackpool keeper was lucky to stay on the pitch after bringing down Eric Sabin on the edge of the box, but was only given a yellow card.
Swindon scored 2 minutes after half time when Danny Invincibile run most of the length of the pitch and crossed for Alan Young to score his first league goal for Swindon from close range.
Blackpool again hit the bar on 69 minutes, but Swindon held on, and were unlucky not to score a few more.
The Blackpool fans were signing "1-0 to the referee" but the ref had helped them, as 2 or even 3 Blackpool players could have been shown the red card.
The win leaves Swindon mid table in 14th with 54 points.
They now travel to meet Stoke City on Monday.
