Swindon started well with Danny Invincibile coming close after only a couple of minutes. Invincibile should have scored a few minutes later when he took the ball around the City keeper but failed to score in a tight angle.
Reeves also went close for Swindon after 20 minutes to hit the post.
After the break Bristol City scored first with on loan Mark Robins scoring to keep the 3,000 Bristol City fans happy.
Swindon scored on 66 minutes when Sam Parkin scored his 21st goal of the season from close range to make the scores level at 1-1.
Andy Gurney nearly scored the winner for Swindon later in the second half from a free kick just outside the box which for the second time of the night hit the post.
Overall a much better game from Swindon with a fair result. Unlike the last three games this game was good to watch with end to end football.
Swindon are home again on Saturday when Notts County who are just below Town in the table come to the County Ground.
