Swindon 1 Doncaster 1

After Wednesday defeat to Huddersfield Andy King made three changes to the squad against Doncaster with Luke Gerrard, Andy Nicholas, and Sammy Igoe all starting.

After few chances from either side it was Doncaster who scored first. On 39 minutes Greg Blundell was able to head in a cross from close range after some poor Swindon defending.

Swindon then pushed forward, and tried to equalise, but ran out of time as they were still going forward when the referee blew up for half time, with Doncaster winning 1-0.

Christian Roberts has a couple of shots saved as Swindon pushed forward, but it was Sam Parkin who scored his 10th goal of the season to make it 1-1 after 72 minutes with a close range header from a David Duke cross.

Swindon had some late chances with Brian Howard, and Christian Roberts coming close a few times, but Doncaster's defence held on for the game to finish 1-1.

Overall a draw was a fair result, as neither side looked very good. It was a fairly average game, which won't be remembered in years to come. The draw leaves Swindon 12th in the table ahead of Wednesday's FA Cup replay against Notts County.
